" Athletics: The queen of the sport.
speed: the queen of athletics.
I was lucky, Thank God and thanks to my parents, to be genetically predisposed to run fast.
As a child you could see my walk springy, elastic, and I remember every time I did a sprint oratory or in the backyard of my house almost always win. I say almost always because sometimes me and 'happen to be guys faster than me but have never gone down this road, staying in football, finishing with a team to play in the third category and ending their career on a sports field of land on the outskirts of Milan.
I thank God and thank my father for bringing me that day, that still seems to me yesterday, in that field of Venlo, The Netherlands, with all those smiling kids who are struggling so much, running up and down the ring of 400 meters and up to a few months before I saw only from the outside, while I was training to shoot at goal with my teammates.
Since then, from that day in winter, and all 'started: my story, my career, my dreams, my victories and my defeats, satisfaction and great emotion delusioni.Ogni I lived and 'used to become what they are today. The "timber" that I took, the injuries that have marked me. All I would do it, no regrets, because I really like today and why today I am proud of what I could reach only with my legs and my head.
On the way I started I had the great fortune to be flanked by a competent person with sound values, which have taught me the meaning of suffering to reach a goal, determination and motivation as the first and only weapon to realize their dream.
My path and 'started 12 years ago and even today the field and' populated by the very people who have always decided to "invest" his life to athletics and gave a true meaning and CONCRETE what they did. At least with me, speaking from personal experience, they did it. They gave me what is now 'for me the meaning of sport, I have passed like a baton in a relay race, and all these people come down with me on the track in Beijing, are and will always be inside me!

What can I say .... thank you .... but that brings on track (now distant) and heart even when those values I even recognize myself.
